Canada witnessed the emergence of a dynamic and fiercely competitive wheelchair basketball league that showcased the power of determination, athleticism, and the indomitable spirit of its participants. This era coincided with the inspirational journeys of two iconic figures, Terry Fox and Rick Hansen, whose endeavors ignited a wave of awareness and support for disability sports.
